Fancy a trip to the flicks during your stay at Mono’tel. Literally opposite us we have a great cinema with all the latest releases. Most of the films are in English with Chinese subtitles, so there is no need to worry about not understanding. Some of our guests at Mono’tel went with us to watch a movie last night. The cinema is just on the edge of the night-market, with hundreds of stalls all around selling great cheap food and drinks to take in with you. We bought a couple of hefty pork dumplings and a bubble tea each and headed for the movie John Wick: Chapter Two. You won’t be disappointed by the quality here! While the viewing room is relatively small, there really wasn’t that many people and we had loads of space to choose the best seats for us. John Wick was an action packed filmed and we felt every bit of it with the great surround sound which totally blew us away. If you have been travelling for a while and fancy a relaxing evening where you can enjoy the familiar comfort of a cinema, you can’t get much better.
Prices are around 250 NTD per person with concessions available. The theater is visible from the door of Mono’tel, ask any staff member if you need help checking the times of showings. There is English information available but sometimes it can be a little tricky to find.
